Moving abroad can look simple from the outside: choose a country, pack your bags and get on a plane. In reality, there are dozens of decisions to make before that cinematic moment ever happens.
In this video, we share how our own move abroad went from a vague idea to an actual plan — and why we created Pack Up & Bounce, our course for people who are seriously considering living abroad but aren’t sure where to start.
We talk about the practical side of international relocation: choosing a destination, budgeting, banking, documents, what to keep or leave behind, and perhaps most importantly, figuring out the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask.
Pack Up & Bounce isn’t a guaranteed roadmap or a promise that moving overseas is right for everyone. It’s the kind of planning tool we wish we’d had when we began preparing for our own move.
If you’re considering becoming an expat, retiring abroad, slow traveling long-term or simply wondering whether an international move is realistic for you, this is a good place to start.
